The Ages of Arkanthys divide the history of the world into distinct periods defined by fundamental shifts in power, governance, and the relationship between mortals and higher forces. Each Age is marked not by arbitrary passage of time, but by events that reshape the structure of the world itself.
These transitions reflect changes in authority, from primordial forces to divine rule, from divine collapse to mortal dominion. The consequences of each Age persist into the next, creating a continuous historical framework in which no era exists in isolation.
The current understanding of history recognizes four primary Ages: Primordia, the Rise of the Pantheon, the Age of Strife, and the Age of Dominion. Each represents a phase in the development of Arkanthys, defined by who holds power, how that power is exercised, and how the world responds to it.
