A Possessio Exempta is an exempt holding controlled by an imperial Order, office, or institution within a Seal. Such holdings are protected from local Domian taxation, seizure, inheritance and command, though they remain subject to imperial law. A Possessio Exempta may be a fortress, archive, vault, monastery, chapterhouse, sanctuary, road-station or military compound.
  Plural: Possessiones Exemptae.
Provisional Elevatio
A Provisional Elevatio is a temporary or contested elevation of a Domus during uncertain political conditions, such as an interregnum or regency. It grants practical rank and privileges, but may require later confirmation by the rightful imperial authority.
