Creators

The Creators were not gods, beings, or intelligences. They were temporary manifestations of fundamental cosmic principles that intersected with the Roil, the unformed arcane chaos that existed before the world. Their presence shaped Arkanthys unintentionally. Their departure allowed everything else to begin.

Arkanthys was not created in a deliberate act of design. It emerged from the simultaneous convergence of six primordial principles occupying the same point in space and time. Their interaction imposed structure upon the Roil, and the world formed as a consequence of their overlapping influence.

The Creators were unaware of this outcome. They possessed no agency, no intention, and no awareness of the world that formed around them. Their intersection lasted only briefly from a cosmic perspective, yet within that moment the foundations of Arkanthys were established and millions of years passed upon the world itself.

Only two mortals in recorded history have ever glimpsed the truth of Primordia: Gabriel Aurellian and Winrey Auric, through fractured divine memory contained within the Pale Crown. For the rest of the world, the existence of the Creators remains unknown.

The Nature of the Creators

The Creators cannot be classified within any mortal or divine taxonomy. They were not alive and therefore could not die. They possessed no will and therefore could not choose. They did not respond to worship, nor did they command followers. They were principles made temporarily manifest: structure, flow, transformation, motion, void, and entropy.

Because they were not conscious entities, they did not recognize one another in any meaningful way. Their interaction occurred simply because their principles overlapped. Where their domains intersected, reality stabilized and the raw chaos of the Roil condensed into the earliest form of the world.

Energy could not destroy energy. The Creators did not compete, battle, or eliminate one another. Their principles collided, reshaped each other, and settled into layered equilibrium. Stone formed where structure overcame chaos. Oceans flowed where motion softened rigidity. Fire reshaped continents where transformation surged through the world. Balance, decay, and entropy carved boundaries that would define existence for ages to come.

The Convergence of Principles

Arkanthys exists because six primordial principles occupied the same region of the cosmos simultaneously. This convergence forced interaction between their domains, layering their influences across the newborn world. Mountains rose where Khoran’s structure stabilized the land. Selira’s presence filled the world with oceans and rivers. Pyrrhex reshaped continents through eruption and transformation. Aeltheon introduced movement, wind, and the earliest framework of time. Nyvara imposed balance between existence and absence. Vaaldros carved wounds of entropy that continue to erode the world to this day.

From an external cosmic perspective, the convergence lasted only a moment. From within the forming world, however, entire geological ages unfolded. Landmasses formed, climates stabilized, and the foundations of natural law emerged before the Creators eventually drifted apart once more.

Arkanthys was not their creation. It was the byproduct of their proximity.

The Six Creators

Khoran, the Principle of Form

Khoran imposed the first structural stability upon the Roil. Where his influence settled, chaos hardened into stone, metal, and the skeletal framework of continents. The deep geometric runic structures later known as Deepforge Script originate from the patterns left within the world’s foundation by his presence.

Selira, the Principle of Flow

Selira softened Khoran’s rigid formations, filling the world with oceans, rivers, and tides. Her presence introduced resonance into water itself, allowing it to retain impressions of emotion, memory, and arcane echo. Rare phenomena where water carries visions or forgotten memories are remnants of her influence.

Pyrrhex, the Principle of Transformation

Pyrrhex brought fire, eruption, and the violent power of change. Volcanic ranges, ashlands, and unstable arcane regions trace their origin to the chaotic transformation his presence imposed upon the world’s crust. Magic’s unpredictable nature remains one of his lingering consequences.

Aeltheon, the Principle of Motion and Thought

Aeltheon introduced movement to the newborn world. Wind, storms, sound, and the earliest perception of time emerged where his presence intersected the forming atmosphere. Even after his withdrawal, fragments of his influence persist through storms, high winds, and rare visions carried through the sky.

Nyvara, the Principle of Void and Balance

Nyvara established the equilibrium between presence and absence. She shaped the night sky, the quiet boundary between existence and nothingness, and the earliest cycles of natural decay. Dreams, celestial order, and the concept of natural death originate from her influence.

Vaaldros, the Principle of Entropy

Vaaldros did not arrive as the others did. He manifested as a flaw within the newborn system, a consuming instability that feeds on structure and balance alike. His influence erodes, collapses, and devours. Deep chasms, arcane void pockets, and regions where reality fractures are remnants of his passage through the world.

The Sacred Scars

Though the Creators departed, their intersection left permanent marks upon the world. These locations, later known as the Sacred Scars of Arkanthys, are places where primordial influence remains embedded within the land itself. Mountains, oceans, storms, voids, and unstable magical regions all trace their origins to these scars.

These locations remain among the most powerful and dangerous places in the world, though few understand their true origin.

The Withdrawal

The Creators did not die, fall, or depart through catastrophe. Their intersection with Arkanthys simply ended. As the principles drifted apart through the cosmos, their influence over the world weakened until only the laws they had imposed remained.

With their departure, the world stabilized for the first time. The Roil settled. Natural cycles formed. The conditions necessary for life eventually emerged.

Arkanthys was left alone.

Legacy

The Creators left no temples, followers, or recorded history. They did not know the world existed and never interacted with the life that would later emerge upon it. Their legacy survives only through the laws of nature, the geography of the world, and the deep arcane strata embedded within reality itself.

Every mountain, every ocean current, every storm, and every void within the earth traces its origin back to the moment when six cosmic principles intersected and accidentally gave birth to a world.
